Henry Chaffee, 6th great-grandfather of Joshua Claussen, lived in Windsor, Connecticut.  He was involved in the opening moments of the American Revolution. In April of 1775 he joined the other men of his Connecticut community in answering the “Lexington Alarm” in response to the British moving on Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts.  He marched from Woodstock to the relief of Boston, serving five days.  Chaffee later served with the same militia company from May until October 1775, and served in the company of Lt.
