On September 3 and 4 Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter Compatriot Eddie Price and his wife, Mary, represented our chapter and the Kentucky Society at the Old Fort Niagra Reenactment in Youngstown, New York.

Eddie acted as a historical interpreter as he sold copies of his War of 1812 saga, Widder’s Landing.  He presented an astounding 52 historical programs over the span of two incredibly long days to tour groups that arrived by busload at the site.  Many of those tourists were internationals visiting the United States.  He presented a shortened version of his program, “Remember the Raisin,” and taught about Kentucky’s role in the War of 1812.  In keeping with his Revolutionary War roots, he stressed that the War of 1812 was, indeed, America’s “Second War of Independence.”

We are proud of Eddie and Mary for traveling such a great distance to teach about America’s amazing history!
