Mallory Men Honored

Posted in Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter, Veteran's Appreciation Medal, Veterans on August 13, 2016 by Colonel Trigg - Virginia Militia

Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter Vice-President Steve Mallory attended the annual Mallory Family Reunion today.  He took advantage of the opportunity to honor two brave veterans.  He presented each of them with the chapter’s Veteran’s Appreciation Medal.  The father and son duo are pictured below.  On the left is C.P. Mallory, a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and his son, Brent Mallory, who also served in the U.S. Army.

We thank them both for their selfless service to our nation!

Welcome, Joseph Brand!

Please join us as we welcome a fine young man into our chapter … Joseph Brand from Trigg County.  Joseph is a recent graduate of Trigg County High School and is currently seeking a career path.  He has an avid interest in living history and blacksmithing.  He has recently worked as a historical interpreter at The Homeplace in Land Between the Lakes.

Joseph descends from Andrew Crysel, who rendered Patriotic Service in North Carolina.  Shortly after the American Revolution he migrated to the frontier in Logan County, Kentucky.  There is also evidence that he served in the famous “German Regiment” of the Pennsylvania Continental Line before moving southward to North Carolina.

Please join us in welcoming Joseph to the Colonel Stephen Trigg Chapter and the SAR!
