Baggett was elected the state Chaplain, a spiritual leadership role reserved for ordained members of the Christian ministry. He was also elected state Vice-President, placing him in the line of succession to become President of the Kentucky Society in 2018. Baggett has also been asked to serve as Chaplain of the Central District of the SAR in 2016, representing the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia.

I plan to represent Trigg County and the Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter with both dignity and enthusiasm. I want Kentucky to have the best state SAR in America.”

In addition to officer elections, the Kentucky SAR also presented state level awards at the recent meeting. The Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter received the President’s Award, given to the most active chapter in the commonwealth.
