Memorial Day 2015 – “Roll Call of Patriots”

The Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter held a special ceremony in West Cadiz Park at 7:00 on Monday evening to honor the Patriot ancestors of chapter members, family members, and guests.  Eighteen Compatriots in uniform presented the chapter colors and took part in the ceremony.  Members honored on very special Patriot, the namesake of the chapter – Lt. Col. Stephen Trigg of the Virginia Militia on the Kentucky Frontier, who died at the Battle of Blue Licks in 1782.  In all, the names of over thirty-five Patriots were read, and descendants honored them by placing a flower at the”Missing Patriot” memorial.
