John Humphries Honors Two Caldwell County Marine Corps Veterans

Caldwell County resident and Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter Compatriot John Humphries honored two brave marines from Caldwell County last week.  He presented each with the Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter’s Veteran’s Appreciation Medal and accompanying certificate.

The first honoree was a referral and request from a local resident who saw the story about Mr. R.J. Kem in The Times-Leader newspaper.  He is H.C. Beck, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II who fought at the Battle of Okinawa.

The second honoree was Mr. George David Crenshaw, also a marine, who served in the Vietnam War.  He is a personal friend of Mr. Humphries.

We are honored to recognize both of these great marines, and are eternally grateful for their sacrificial service to our nation.
