WWII Marine Honored Today!

Compatriot Jerry Burlingame and his wife, Sue, met a very interesting Marine at Cracker Barrel yesterday.  They found out that he served in both WWII and the Korean War, and he was out for dinner to celebrate the Marine Corps Anniversary (Nov. 10).  Jerry and Sue bought his meal, thanked him for his service, and got some information about the assisted living center where he resides.

This afternoon, after the Veteran’s Day Parade and Service, they made a special “extra trip” to that home and surprised Mr. Carlos Lynch with the Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter’s “Veteran’s Appreciation Medal.”
